Dr. Richard Shinto joined InnovaCare Health shortly after serving as Chief Medical Officer for NAMM California. While working with InnovaCare, he also led another company called Aveta. After the company’s sale in 2012, he dedicated all of his time to InnovaCare. Shortly afterwards, he was named CEO of InnovaCare, Inc.Before joining the managed care industry, Dr. Shinto practiced as an internist and pulmonologist. Currently, he holds medical tenure in Southern California for his practice, which he still does. He’s also had numerous articles published about healthcare and clinical medicine. It’s one of the reasons he’s considered a top physician in the industry.Dr. Shinto’s 20-plus-year career proved invaluable at InnovaCare. His experience is mostly in clinical and operational healthcare. He led the company to the number one spot of Puerto Rico’s managed care providers. As a result, he was made CEO of InnovaCare’s Health Plans subsidiary in Puerto Rico.
